Leaders In Training (LIT) Program

 

Basic leadership training course for young leaders; excellent groundwork for any leadership situations.  Completion certificate provided.  Fee includes full board.

Spend a week at Moorecroft Camp living and learning with your peers.  This experience will provide you with life and work skills and open up new opportunities for you.  Active learning with lots of fun!

Mothers & Others

*   Directed by Karen Vanderberg

3 days and nights to enjoy activities and fun with your children. Meet other Moms and families while enjoying beach fun, crafts, great food and our all time favorite Talent Show. Go home feeling refreshed and reconnected.

Junior Co-ed

*   Directors: Tania Walter Gardiner and Tricia Huffman

Join us for a journey. On our pilgrimage we will explore nature, you'll create a walking stick of your journey, learn survival skills on survivor day building confidence while working together as a group, as well as enjoy the traditional Moorecroft experience of recognizing the value and good qualities in people around us, waterfront activities, games, crafts, Chapel theme time, campfire, vespers, and more.

There are many paths to choose from on this journey to get to where we are going. Enjoy the experience!

Girls Camp

*    This liveliest of camp groups will be directed by Kathy Potts.

Just for the Girls, this camp is all about you. This is a camp of many possibilities. If you enjoy sports or crafts or music or boating or skits or quiet reflection you will be able to do them all. Whether you come alone, or bring a friend, you will make new friendships. Be ready to laugh and to learn!

Intermediate Co-ed

*    Directors Jim Potts and Jane Thornton

Our popular coed camp is action packed with kayaking, archery, wide games, campfire and much, much more. Meet up with old friends and make new ones too. Come along and be part of a camp full of surprises.

Environmental

*   Directed by Camp Staff plus RLC Enterprise Ltd.

If you love adventure, being outside and celebrating the natural world around us Moorecroft's newest summer camping session is the place for you.

Packed with activities you'll find yourself navigating around camp using a compass, building a shelter to sleep in, learning to make useful tools and crafts using natural fibres and your own two hands, challenging yourself with survival skills and taste testing WILD recipes! Find out how you can use cattails, blackberry leaves, stinging nettle and sword ferns to help you survive!!!

Of course you will get the usual dose of Moorecroft favourite activities including swimming, smiling and LAUGHING!!! With frogs hopping at your feet and sea stars beckoning from the beach, exploration will be never-ending during Environmental Camp.

Novice

*    Our 2 night Novice Camp gives young children a flavour of camping and the opportunity to take part in a camping adventure with their peers. This introduction to camping is packed with activities designed for the young.

Splash around and enjoy waterfront activities, explore the beach and find critters you have never seen before. Go pond dipping and see if our beavers join you. Play games on the field, sing songs around the campfire and then off to bed to get the energy for another action packed day.

Men and Boys

*    Directed by John Potts

Join us for a weekend of friendship and activities, taking time to examine the masculine journey and God's purposes for our lives. We expect to sleep outside at least one night so bring a tent and air mattress besides the usual sleeping bag.

Arts and Music

*    If you love the arts and music this is a camp for you. This camp explores the beauty of music and art. We have so much to offer and so little time so expect to be on the go. Along with the usual camp activities you will have the opportunity to take part in some environment-based artwork. Try your hand at painting, sculpture and drawing and much, much more. We expect the camp to be filled with music and laughter.

Teen Camp

*   Teens are challenged, motivated, and have a roaring good time as well!
